Hotspots Surrey is a new wireless broadband network which will enable everyone in the county to be within 10 minutes of a fast internet connection.
Hotspots Surrey aims to:
Enhance the existing wireless broadband network to ensure that no one in Surrey is more than 10 minutes from a fast internet connection
Reduce the rural/urban digital divide by targeting less populated areas
Demonstrate how broadband can help businesses grow and benefit from new ways of working
Encourage more visitors to the county
Promote new and existing hotspots under one banner to make it easy for people to locate their nearest connection
Hotspots Surrey is part of a regional initiative called "Hotspots South East", supported by South East England Regional Development Agency (SEEDA).
